∙ 15y agoTennis balls that are kept at about 70 degrees and a low humidity will bounce higher on a given surface than balls kept at extremes of either environmental measure. Tennis balls used at professional tennis events are designed for the venue's specific surface, such that, for the most part, all will bounce equally high on their corresponding surface. Given that, a ball designed for a grass or clay court, will probably bounce higher on a hard court than a ball designed for a hard count.

Badminton is a game kind of like tennis, except the rackets are not as wide and a LOT lighter. Also, instead of tennis balls that bounce, you use shuttles. The rules are if the ball bounces even once inside the court, the person who hit the ball gets a point. Also, you don't serve the ball like in tennis.
For a ball Machine, it does not change the kind of ball you would use if you were playing a tennis match. If you are a keen tennis player (plays more than 3/4 times per week) i wouldrecommend to buy Head ATP or any Slazenger but if you are just a typical player any unpressurised ball can be used with success.
