What are the dimensions of a badminton racket?

The size of a racket varies. In mens ATP, the maximum racket head size is around 105 cm^2. The larger the head, the more rebound you get, resulting in faster ball speed. Faster speed from greater rebound isn't always desirable though, as it usually comes at the cost of feel and control.

Professionals don't have their own size of Badminton racquet. Rather, they use standard ones like normal people do. What IS different though, is the weight. Each racquet, unless picked from the same aisle, are of different weights - some are made of carbon material, which are so light that you can barely feel it in your hands. These are for players who can't handle really heavy racquets. Others use heavy ones, which provides a solid weight in their hands, and therefore a solid hit. But it reall all depends on the player and their preferences and abilities.

There are many dimensions for a badminton racket for which ones you buy. The racket shall be a frame not exceeding 680 mm in overall length and 230 mm in overall width consisting of the main parts described in Laws. It should not exceed 280 mm in overall length and 220 mm in overall width. However, the strings may extend into an area which otherwise would be the throat, provided that the width of the extended stringed area does not exceed 35 mm; and the overall length of the stringed area does not then exceed 330 mm.

The hitting surface of the racket shall be flat and consist of a pattern of crossed strings connected to a frame and either alternately interlaced or bonded where they cross. The stringing pattern shall be generally uniform and, in particular, not less dense in the center than in any other area.

The frame of the racket, including the handle, shall not exceed 2'-2 3/4" (680 mm) in overall length and 9" (230 mm) in overall width.

The overall length of the head shall not exceed 11 3/8" (290 mm).

The strung surface shall not exceed 11" (280 mm) in overall length and 8 5/8" (220 mm) in overall width.

The racket:

Shall be free of attached objects and protrusions, other than those utilized solely and specifically to limit wear and tear, or vibration, or to distribute weight, or to secure the handle by cord to the player's hand, and which are reasonable in size and placement for such purposes; and

Shall be free of any device which makes it possible for a player to change materially the shape of the racket.
