Flip a coin to see which team gets first centre pass or picks where they want to shoot. Once it is chosen what side each team will shoot on and who will have first centre pass, you have to hold one of your arms out and point it towards the centre circle and point your other arm directly straight at what side the team with the first centre pass to where they are shooting at. Then simply blow your whistle when the time comes!

First, they usually do a coin toss or 'which whistle is my hand in?' to see who gets centre pass and to decide which side you shoot in.
