I have heard of a a real monster hitter going over the lake, cutting off the dogleg of a 550 yd par 5, then putting for the double eagle.

It's called a Condor.

It usually happens when a golfer decides to hit straight to the pin on a dogleg, or horseshoe type of hole. As I understand it, it's happened a couple times.

It's also happened "at altitude". A golfer in Denver hit a 517 yard drive for a hole in one.

1 under = birdie

2 under = eagle

3 under = albatross

4 under = condor

An Eagle in golf is lower than a birdie. A birdie is 1 stoke below par on the hole and an Eagle is 2 strokes below par For example, on a par four, an eagle is two strokes on a par three, an eagle is not used. it is just referred to as a hole in one!

What do golf shots boogie eagle mean?

You are probably refering to a "bogey" and an "eagle". Each hole on a golf course has a specific number of shots it should take a player to get his/her golfball from tee to hole(cup). This number is refered to as "par". There are par 3,4, and 5 holes on a golf course. On an eighteen hole course, these holes combine for a total of par 70-72 depending on how many par 3,4, and 5 holes the course contains. If a person takes 3 strokes on a par 4, this would be a "birdie" ( 1 under par on that hole). The scoring for a par 4 hole is like this: 2 over (6)= double bogey 1 over (5)= bogey even (4)= par 1 under (3)= birdie 2 under (2)= eagle Hope this is what you are looking for.
