the best thing for you to do is go get fitted at your local Golf shop or a teaching pro at a golf course. this will help to build around a swing not you build your swing to the club. big difference.
It favors low handicappers because of the premium points given for birdies and eagles. low handicappers get more of these than high handicappers.
High handicappers don't care. But lower handicappers don't like them, because they are used to their own specs, such as putter length, weight and style, club set up and shaft flex. Rental clubs are nearly always very cheap clubs with regular shafts so they suit the majority of golfers.
Very little to be honest. They are both aimed at mid to high handicappers. The CG7s are just a new version.
Check your local golf course (Municipal or Private clubs open to public). They usually have men's and/or ladies golf club that holds regular tournaments where all members can play. For beginners I suggest finding a par 3 course that has a club. These are easier courses for beginners
The lower price point clubs are geared towards beginners and high handicappers. They are good if you play at that level. Powerbilt builds clubs from a low end for beginners all the way to professional grade clubs for the 'Tour'. The COG of a golf club is the centre of gravity. The clubs are designed to have a low COG to get the ball airborne. For high handicap clubs, there is a lot of weight to the club, drawing the COG to make sure the ball gets up easier, and also makes the clubs very forgiving.
There is no problem if you do this. There are high numbers of fake clubs in asia. You just have to make sure that you know you are buying fake.
