A posture is the way you stand.

Gymnasts need to have a good Posture to preform well.

Normally if a Gymnast goes to their first "GYM" class they will be told by their instructor to improve there posture (Unless they have A good one all ready.)

ladies feet in first, shoulders back, chin up, and straight back as if you were tied to the ceiling by a string attached to the top of your head

men feet together back straight shoulders down and chin up

In floor especially, you have to have good posture or the judges will take deductions. also, when you start out gymnastics most coaches will tell you to improve your posture. Hope this helps
