Is a 1984 Cr80r dirt bike two or four stroke?

2 strokes have powerband (response) because it only takes 2 strokes to get your power intake and compression are the first stroke the second stroke is ignition and exhaust this is all done in only two strokes. 4 strokes dont have as much powerband (response) because they do four stokes stroke 1. intake 2. compression 3.ignition 4. exhaust 1 stroke for each individual step. so 2 stokes take have the time to get the power as a 4 stroke. 2 strokes are great for racing but need to be wound out because they will load up and will run bad.. 4 strokes are better for the trails because they dont need to be wound out. 2 strokes have a lot of revs so things will loosen up a lot more than a 4 stroke so after you ride tighten up loose parts because they will fall off when your riding it happened to me.

There is not that much difference anymore in actually riding a 2 stroke vs a 4 stroke. At one time there was a huge difference between the way a 4 stroke and a 2 stroke dirt bike performed. Two stroke motorcycles dominated the Motocross and supercross classes because of their high performance and light weight. While the heavier, less nimble thumpers performed at their best in the enduro and trail circuits. The 4 strokes have fast become the dominating force on any track or terrain due to a number of debatable reasons. 1)Their power to weight ratio is on par with the 2 strokes 2) I feel the AMA has a heavy influence over why we are witnessing the decline of the 2 stroke. Is it fair that a 250cc four stroke is able to compete against a 125cc two stroke? 3) Another contributing factor to the 2 strokes decline is the pressure felt by government groups and lobbyists to phase them out because of the environmental damage they cause. Two points to make. To re-build the top-end on a 2 stroke, with machining is going to cost you around 200 bucks and you can do all the work yourself. Additionally you are going to know from the feel of the bike when it is ready to do. 
The equivalent 4 stroke is going to cost about $2500 and the shop will be doing the work. Also when it does go, there will be no warning.

yes if you are change the hole motor out of 4sroke and going to put a 2stroke motor in it then yes. have a good one
