Yes. You must take-off from one foot.
Jumping from two feet is not allowed since it is possible to perform a gymnastic tumble ending with a final bounce from two feet which would permit a higher jump. Basically it's limited to one foot to maintain the event as it is currently known, but the high jump is NOT the highest a human can jump unaided, and so it not a 'pure' event like the long jump, or 100m.
In Kirby Air Ride, the only machine that can jump 1000 feet in the high jump competition without obtaining power-up items during city trial is the wheelie scooter. Hold the joy stick up when lifting off, and you will fly high. After City Trial mode, many machines can jump 1000 feet, especially if you have 18 top speeds and glides.

No, it is not possible to jump off the moon in outer space because there is no atmosphere to provide the necessary resistance for jumping. Additionally, the moon's gravity is much weaker than Earth's, so a jump would not propel you far enough to escape its gravitational pull.
If you have children, it should be illegal to have a balloon ready to jump into and take off.

Have you ever seen someone 6 feet tall? That's about how tall a grown chinchilla can jump! My chinchilla, Rosco, has never shown off his jumping skills in front of me before... but I have seen him use a "wall slide" or "wall jump". They jumo towards a wall and they push off of the wall to get onto low ledges, this can get them up to about 3 feet. =] =D ;D Hope this helps =] =D ;D
