Sprinters will spend a lot of time doing sprint training. When applying the FITT principle, sprinters will do low frequency, high intensity training as this is specific to the non-endurance event. They will also eat plenty of protein to build and repair their muscles and spend time in the gym on weights to build up their leg muscles.
