It was the Marathon of Hope, well the start anyway.
Last Chance for Boston Marathon was created in 2002.
Yes a marathon can be called a sprint. Hope that helps! :)
The start of the Marathon of Hope was on April 12, 1980 in St. John's, Newfoundland. This was the date Terry Fox dips his artificial leg in the Atlantic Ocean as the mark of the start of the Marathon of Hope.
I think you are a little confused. If a race is 13k then the distance is 13 kilometres, obviously. There is no such thing as a 13k marathon. A marathon is 26.2 miles, or 42.2km - with a half-marathon being half that distance, obviously. So, there is a chance that your 13km marathon refers to the 13.1 miles that are in a half-marathon. Hope that helps.
It's 26.2 miles long because that's how long a marathon is that's why it's called the Boston Marathon.
The marathon of hope started in 1980 in St. Johns Newfoundland and ended September of 1981 in Thunderbay Ontario.
a marathon is how far?
Terry Fox
The London marathon race is 42.195 kilometers long
Because he was trying to give hope to people with cancer that he may raise enough money to find a cure.
Wikipedia is a very valid source for finding out how long a marathon is. Specifically, a marathon is a long-distance run based around the 25 mile mark.
