High level gymnasts perform incredible feats that involve moving at high speed and flipping and twisting several times through the air. They also perform these skills on a wood balance beam that is 4 inches wide. In some cases, missing a catch on the bars or slamming into the beam could cause serious injury, such as dislocated elbows, broken bones, and head injury.
In addition, gymnastics involved pushing the body to and past its limit. Overuse injuries and stress fractures are prevalent in high-level gymnastics. To put it simply, the human body was not designed to do things like this: http://i2.Photobucket.com/albums/y33/tahn_cowie/BeSsOnOvA_096.jpg Constant impact and pushing natural (and lack of natural) flexibility can lead to injuries and problems later in life, like the type seen in contortionists.

Well, that's a very oppinionated question. I'd say gymnastics. I've done both, and I've gotten kinda to a higher level with both. I've gotten more injuries doing gymnastics than probably ever.
I don't know really know because its up yo you not me. If you try both of them over the summer you can se which one is harder. For me it is figure skating because i havn't done figure skating in a while so I know more Gymnastics mostly because i am really athletic and flexable.
well, i would say gymnastics is more dangerous b/c it is more likely you would mess up in gymnastics then in hockey. in gymnastics you cold mess one of your tricks up very easily and hurt yourself. in hockey the only time you get hurt is when your checked or something and usally you don't get hurt alot from checking.
Gymnastics are dangerous, however it's not the most dangerous sport. Gymnastics require excellent balance skills and strength too.
well it can be a dangerous sport but its more of a fun sport then risky. well i hope i answered your question bye-bye
