Chasse is the correct spelling for the movement in Gymnastics and Dancing. Think 'chase' as in one foot chases the other. It is often mistakenly pronounced sashay / sachet (by coaches and gymnasts) which are both different words with different meanings.
i think you mean gymnast and shawn Johnson, and Nastia Liukin are famous gymnasts
I do not think there is an age limit but most gymnasts retire either before or in their twenties
The key to gymnastics is flexibility, and a love for gymnastics just go up there try a couple tricks and see if you are a natural gymnast. I know i am. It also takes mental strength. If you think you cant do it, then you wont be able to.
gymnasts dont usually get killed but if they were to die it would be because they over worked or had some kind of disease that could have been infected by gymnastics. but as a gymnast myself i would say that if you were going to do gymnastics dont think about how many people get killed just think about how many people have fun doing gymnastics.
Pre-competitive gymnastics is basically working on technique and conditioning, and getting you ready if you decide to take up competitive gymnastics. Many places let you compete in competitions. After some time if the coaches think you are doing well, they will recommend you to join the competitive group.
Gymnastics is a great sport and it is also one of the most difficult. I think gymnasts are inspired by the fact that most people can't do what they can and it takes hard work and effort to be good. They are inspired by how they spend so much time on one particular skill and finally accomplishing it!
A good science fair project for a 6th grade level would maybe be something like the following: Does the average speed of a gymnast affect how their vault score? I'm trying to think of a good 7TH GRADE level gymnastics science fair project. advice?):
For one in gymnastics there are many apparati that gymnasts can perform on. Gymnasts need to trai constantly and have a very very high fitness level. The objecive in the sport is to get the hghest score by doing very difficult routines and paying attention to all the little details like sticking landing and keeping your legs straight while doing areial manouvers. judges watch your performance and give you a number based on how good they think your performance is. Sometimes in a competition gymnasts do various aparati, and then the tota score is added up at the end to determne a winner.
it depends in gymnastic you have the bars and beams which are hard but in cheerleading you have stunting and jumping. then in both you have tumbling which can be hard. i think both of the sports are hard and difficult.
I think they do
Many international rhythmic gymnasts are on very, verystrict diets. Another reason is like artistic gymnasts they train very hard from a young age which affects puberty and developement of the body. Artistic gymnasts build more solid muscle that gives them a little bit of bulk, while rhythmic gymnasts focus mostly on stretching and dance, so they don't have as much of the muscle mass that an artistic gymnast who trains for high impact skills would have or need. The ideal body for rhythmic gymnastics is slender and a little more long than for artistic gymnastics. The reason why people think rhythmic gymnasts are all skinny is because that is all we see. Tiny twig athletes usually make the best rhythmic gymnasts, but not all are.
