If you live anywhere near a city known for Skateboarding the best thing you can do is spend as much time there as you can. Just skate with the people who take it serious and slowly you will get the recognition needed to be taken seriously by sponsors. Also stay in contact with skater run local shops. They are the people who can help you grow into the personality that can make you a marketable and professional skateboarder. To be honest; ultimately if you have the talent you will be discovered. If you are just another kid who wants to be pro because you don't want to work for a living you should just try and sell drugs, steal or possibly prostitute yourself, as they are far more likely ways of seeing easy cash. If you just love skateboarding and want to do it for the rest of your life...well; an undeserved sponsorship for a kid who isn't ready is the quickest way to ruin everything. (JUST LOOK AT ANTWAN DIXON, its not cool to be a spectacle if you don't back it up.)
It depends on the company you wish to sponsor you. Most companies have ranking requirements for junior players. For example, one company may require you to be top 50 in the country as a junior to be sponsored. Some companies give product discounts as well depending on ranking. Professional level players are sponsored by ranking as well but also what type of television exposure the athlete may receive.
you creampie yourself
go onto there website and email them about it
The majority of you tennis players out there will not get an addias sponsorship. You have to be ranked top 5 in America. this is a very hard tsk to achieve. Some of the top players in the country cant even get this kind of deal. I would suggest trying to get a Reebok or K-swiss sponsor because this is much easier.
One type of sponsorship is sports sponsorship. This is where a company sponsors a team or player. Another type of sponsorship is non-profit sponsorship. This is where a person or company donate funds to a charity.
shop sponsorship is the lowest for sponsorship but it's still better than not being sponsored.
It is important when seeking corporate sponsorship to seek out a company that melds well with the idea that you are trying to get sponsorship for. A few companies that offer corporate sponsorship include Epcor and Bowery.
