Depends. It does indeed burn a bit more calories than jogging does, but it is then again much tougher in intensity. Both are great choices and there is no reason to actually go with another since the main point is that you are doing cardio. Also, if you are doing the exercise without actually correcting your diet, then it doesn't matter whether or not you cycle or jog - both don't affect weight loss, which means that diet plays an important role too and shouldn't be forgotten.
