No, this is not allowed. The only way you could do this is if you lost your ball and had to play another. You may however change balls in between holes, as long as you alert your playing partners.

Interestingly you can replace a ball on the green if it has become unfit for play. To declare a ball unfit for play mark it, and examine it, the ball must be visibly cut or cracked, and musted be agreed with your playing partners or marker.

If the ball is not unfit for play, then no you cannot swap ball in the middle of a hole, this carries a 2 shot penalty.

No ... the ball that was used from the tee box must be used for the remainder of shots on that hole. In other words, from tee to pin, the same ball must be used.

The exception to the rule would be the loss of the original ball in a water hazard, or lost out of bounds.

Yes, you can use it from anywhere on the course. Most people use it if they are just off the green and pitching is not the best option. You could use it off the tee if you wanted to!

No, you must not change your ball during a hole unless it is unfit for play. Simply changing your ball to putt is illegal.
