What do you think is better Taylormade R9 or Taylormade R7?
Interesting question. It is hard to say, it probably comes down to personal preference. The Taylormade r7 425 has mobvable weight technology and a really nice traditional shaped head. But the r9 has movable weight technology and adjustable shaft technology. You can actually buy the shaft sleeves which means you could stick any shaft you want in your driver and change it as often as you want very easily. I do not like how the r9 has almost pointy head on it, not the greatest look I think. You can try them both and see what you think, obviously the r9 is more expensive but perhaps worth it.
How big is the club head on a Taylor Made Burner driver?
The taylormade tour burner (2008 model) is a 450cc head and a 45.5" shaft. less cc then the 2007 burner model but the combination of the shaft and superfast technology makes the club about 10 yards longer. It also has a lower launch then some of the other taylormade drivers. Just for a point of ref. I hit this club between 270-290 on average off the tee and i am a 3.7 handicap.

The main differences are a fairway wood has a smaller head, more loft and a shorter shaft. Obviously the driver has a larger head to a maximum of 460cc, a loft of mainly 8.5 to 10.5 degrees, and a shaft which can be around 44-46 inches long.

I would recommend that you do put a crank shaft head on a crank shaft. Putting any other type of head on a crank shaft could possibly break the head.
