In 1958 famous entertainer Elvis Presley was drafted into the US Army and served as an armor crewman on an M-48 Patton tank, with the 1/32 Armor in Europe (Germany) being honorably discharged in 1960. The most notorious "entertainer case" involved the pro-athlete, champion boxer of the world, Cassius Clay, Jr., (who preferred to go by the name of "Muhammad Ali"). Muhammad Ali successfully resisted induction into the US Military, but lost his rights to box, during the process.
