So far it probably was Arvydas Sabonis he was 31 years old. A Lieutenant Basketball player who began playing in Lithuania during the Soviet Union. Because of the Cold War going on between the US and Soviet Union (Russia), Sabonis was not allowed to go to the United States. In 1986 he was drafted by the NBA's Portland Trailblazers. However he just couldn't play because of the Cold War. It wouldn't be until 1995 after the Cold War, he then could play in the NBA.
