Lenin's SuccessorJoseph Stalin succeeded Lenin. However, immediately after Lenin died, a troika of Stalin, Grigori Zinoviev and Lev Kamenev succeeded him until Stalin took over complete control in 1929.

Stalin was also very mean and killed a lot of people the people who disagreed with him.

Lenin replaced the Provisional Government (PG) then headed by Alexander Kerensky when Lenin and the Bolsheviks seized power on October 25, 1917 (Julian calendar). Kerensky had replaced Prince Georgy L'vov as head of the PG. The Provisional Government under L'vov had replaced Tsar Nicholas II as the governing authority in Russia after the February Revolution of 1917. Joseph Stalin replaced Lenin after Lenin died.
