Well than it would go to when the teams played each other. Lets say the eagles and the giants tie. It would go to the team that won to other both times in the regular season. If there is a tie in that and they both beat each other once, than it goes to division records which is how many times they beat the other teams in there division. That means that if the eagles beat the redskins and cowboys twice, and the giants lost to the redskins once, than the eagles would go to the playoff. And if there is a tie in that than I don't know what happens after that. But it is not too often that some one ties three times in a row.

In the NFL playoffs why is it called Divisional Round when teams from same division can't play each other?

Only in MLB can the teams from the same division not play each other, and that's only in the first round of playoffs. In the NFL, I think it's called the Divisional round because in theory, only divisional champs will be remaining in the playoffs after Wildcard Weekend.

What is the difference between cliched the division and clinched the playoff?

In the NFL, when a team clinches the division, this means the team will finish with the best record in the division and will make the playoffs as a 1, 2, 3 or 4 seed( depending on the records of the other division winners). Clinching a playoff birth means that a team will make the playoffs but have not won the division yet (pending on their chances to win the division). If a team clinches a playoff berth but not division, they will get either the 5 or 6 seed in the playoffs.
