ESPN's Baseball Encyclopedia list Juan Gonzalez of Texas at 22 in 1992 as the youngest but they are incorrect. Tony Conigliaro of the Boston Red Sox at the age of 20 won the American League home run title in 1965. Conigliaro was the 2nd youngest to hit 100 home runs. Mel Ott was the youngest by a few months.
