I would probably say Dwight Howard. Its not just because he is tall, he can jump higher than probably anyone in the nba except maybe LeBron James( best basketball player in the nba right now).
im a Orlando Magic fan and im a huge Dwight fan but it's reallly amare stoudimire. He dunks on any and everyone except Dwight of course but blake griffin is a great dunker to he won the 2011 dunk contest
If you're just talking about dunking ability - how impressive it is in terms of individual ability - an honest list will include a few names that aren't necessarily famous. The NBA has seen a lot of great talent come and go. Yet, not all the potential was necessarily realized in the form of complete all-around great players. The ultra-competitive nature of the league creates a situation in which many players that are athletically talented only participate in playing in specialized or limited rolls as they never grasp all of the nuances of the game well enough to participate for prolonged periods during actual games.
Thus you had players like Darryl Dawkins and Kenny "Sky" Walker that were exciting to watch when they dunked but were not skilled enough to stay on the court for long or be relied on at crucial moments of the game.
A list of the all-time greatest dunkers in NBA history would have to include the follwing names:
#1 Dominique Wilkins #2 "Dr. J" Julius Erving #3 Darryl Dawkins #4 Harold Miner #5 Shawn Kemp #6 Larry Nance #7 Kenny "Sky" Walker #8 Vince Carter #9 Darrell Griffith #10 Michael Jordan
Honorable Mention: Clyde Drexler, David Thompson, Connie Hawkins, Kobe Bryant, Dan Marjerle, Jason Richardson, Rex Chapman.
The ranking of these players is very subjective and this particular ranking is based on my own preferences for style and overall dunking "panache". They can reasonably be re-ranked in almost any combination based on personal preference. There are also other names that could be thrown into the mix, but this list of names includes players that would be accepted by virtually anyone that has a good knowledge of the history of the game from when dunking first became popular to the present.
Just note that individuals that have a great familiarity with the game's history will most likely insist on Dominique Wilkins "Human Highlight Film", "Dr J" Julius Erving, Michael "Air" Jordan, and Vince Carter being in the top 10.
The best team in the NBA history is Phoenix Suns.

Allen Iverson has the best crossover in NBA history.
No. Dominique Wilkins. Not because of how high he could jump, but because of how hard he slammed it in. Carters probably top 5 though.
MJ is good but not as good as VC. He does slam dunk competition dunks in games. Hes amazing.
Michael Jordan was considered a top dunker in the mid 1990's and his most famous dunk was against the detroit pistons in a playoff game that was played in chicago.
