Sutton hit a second home run in the game to be the player to hit the first and second home runs in MLB history. Ross Barnes of the Chicago White Stockings, later the Cubs, hit the first home run in the National League on May 2, 1876. Later that day Charlie Jones of the Cincinati Red Stockings also hit one. It's not recorded whether these were inside the park home runs or not, but it is likely that they were.
