The quarterback with the most pro football passing yards is Damon Allen (brother of NFL great Marcus Allen), with 72,381. Allen played from 1985 to 2007 in the Canadian Football League, a pro league that has been around since 1957.The QB with the most career passing yards in the NFL is Brett Favre with 61,655 as of the 2008 season.
Through week 8 (Nov. 1 & 2), Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers has the top passer rating in the NFL, at 110.4. Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts is second with a rating of 109.3.Manning also leads in yards/game with 318.1, and Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans leads in total passing yards with 2342.
Off the top of my head, three games come to mind. Zach Miller caught 8 passes for 142 yards at Atlanta in January, 2013. That's got to be in the top 5. Dan Ross set a record for receptions in a Super Bowl in about 1981 (for the Bengals); I would guess he'd have something like 100-130 yards in that game (against San Francisco in Detroit). And Kellen Winslow (the older one) had the huge game at Miami, where he had to be carried off exhausted at the end. It was a wild shootout, and my guess is Winslow probably finished a little ahead of Zach Miller.
