Chuck Noll - Only coach to win (4) Super bowls!
That is incorrect. While Noll is the only coach to win four Super Bowls, NFL Championships actually began in 1920 not in 1966. Therefore Papa Bear George Halas and Packer founder Curly Lambeau lead the way with six NFL championships each.
Vince Lombardi is next with five.
Lombardi, Lambeau and Guy Chamberlin are the only head coaches to win three NFL titles in a row. Lombardi in 1965,66 and 67. Lambeau in 1929, 30 and 31. Chamberlin in 1922, 23 and 24.
Deservedly so, each one of these five head coaches are enshrined in Canton, Ohio.
As of the 2011 season, Chuck Noll, who was head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowls IX, X, XIII, and XIV, is the head coach with the most Super Bowl victories with 4.
Bill Walsh of the 49ers, Joe Gibbs of the Redskins, and Bill Belichick of the Patriots each won 3 and Doc Rivers has 6
Through the 2008 season, that is George Halas who won six NFL titles (1921, 1933, 1940, 1941, 1946, 1963) as head coach of the Chicago Staleys/Bears and Curley Lambeau who won six titles (1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944) with the Green Bay Packers.
Vince Lombardi is second with five NFL titles (1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967) as head coach of the Green Bay Packers. The titles in 1966 and 1967 were won in Super Bowl I and II.
Lambeau and Lombardi are the only head coaches in NFL history to win three NFL titles in successive seasons.
There is another coach to win three titles in a row. NFL Hall of Famer Guy Chamberlin was the head coach of the Canton Bulldogs in 1922-23 and the Cleveland Bulldogs in 1924. All three won the NFL title. Ironically he was also a player on two other NFL champion teams, the 1921 Chicago Staleys (became the Bears in 22) and the 1926 Frankford Yellow Jackets (for whom he was also the head coach). I believe Chamberlin to this day remains the only NFL player to be a member of four consecutive NFL Championship teams.
Don Shula (Baltimore Colts 1963-1969, Miami Dolphins 1970-1995) currently holds the record for all time wins by an NFL head coach with 347.
the coach who has won the most games with the lakers is Phil Jackson
Through the 2013 season, the Chicago Bears won the most games in NFL history, with 747. Regular season (730-534-42), Postseason (17-18).
Weeb Eubank. Eubank was head coach of the 1958 and 1959 Baltimore Colts that won the NFL championship and the 1968 New York Jets that won the AFL championship.
