In 1935, Ruth signed with the Boston Braves of the National League playing in 26 games for the Braves before retiring in June. Interestingly enough, Ruth hit a home run in his first at bat for the Braves off pitcher Carl Hubbell, then hit six more before removing himself from the lineup and calling it quits.
