As of 2012, the following active Major League Baseball (MLB) teams have regular season stadiums in state capital cities:

Arizona Diamonbacks...Phoenix, Arizona

Atlanta Braves...Atlanta, Georgia

Boston Red Sox...Boston, Massachusetts

Colorado Rockies...Denver, Colorado

NOTE: Two (2) teams are excluded by the very nature of their location: the Toronto Blue Jays, who play in Canada and, thus, can not be geographically located in a U.S. state capital, and; the Washington Nationals, who play in Washington, D.C., which, albeit, is the capital of the United States, is not geographically located in a U.S. state and, thus, can not be geograhically located in a U.S. state capital.
