No. The two championship series are the best 4 out of 7 games. When one of the teams wins 4 games, the series is over. If one team wins the first four games in a row, then only four games are played.
The Anaheim Angels defeated the San Francisco Giants in seven games.

There are actually only 7 teams in the NBA who rallied from 3-1 to win a playoff series. They are the Boston Celtics (1968), Los Angeles Lakers (1970), Washington Bullets (1979), Boston Celtics (1981), Houston Rockets (1995), Miami Heat (1997), Detroit Pistons (2003) and the Phoenix Suns (2006). So Mathematically only 23.33% of all NBA teams won an NBA playoff trailing from 3-1.

Every team that started a World Series 3-0 has gone on to win that Series. Indeed, in major league baseball, only one team -- the 2004 Boston Red Sox, in the ALCS -- has come back from losing the first three games in a seven game series and forced a game seven (they won that game over the New York Yankees).

There was one format from 1980 - 1983 and a different format from 1984 through the rest of the 80s and until 2003. 1979-80 through 1982-83: 12 teams made the playoffs, each conference's two division champions and the teams with the next four best records. Division Champions had a bye into the second round. The first round was a mini-series, best of three format. All subsequent series were best of seven. 1983-84 through 2001-2002: 16 teams made the playoffs - those with the eight best records in each conference. The first round was a best of five format. All subsequent series were best of seven.
