No. The two championship series are the best 4 out of 7 games. When one of the teams wins 4 games, the series is over. If one team wins the first four games in a row, then only four games are played.

The World Series is best-of-seven, which means seven games will only be played if both teams win three games. The World Series is essentially a race to win four games, and the first team to do it will win. In a sweep, one team will win four games and the other will win none. In that case, the World Series will only be four games.

4. It is a best of 7 series and if a team wins the first 4 games, it is over.

Years ago they did go best of 9.

The World Series has, for quite some time, has been the best of seven games. Thus, the most games that can be played is seven, the fewest is four.
