Also, in 1998 Sammy Sosa broke Maris' record to make it 66 homeruns. Later, in 2001 Barry Bonds broke McGwire'srecord and made the modern day record a total of 73 homeruns. Bonds went on to brake Hank Aarons record for most homeruns in a career. Aarons record was 755 and Bondsmade it 756.BUT Sosa, McGwire and Bonds all have strong evidence against them that they have taken steroids. So I believe their records should not count!
