OK i not sure but i think you have to be really good at Basketball and then play in high school ad get scholarships however u spell that and then u play n collage and then people will see how good you are and then you will prob get drafted or idk maybe that's what i am thinking!!

To make the NBA, you must be drafted by a team or signed by them. But first, you have to be reconized. If you are coming right off a season in college, scouts from some NBA teams may watch your games. But still keep on playing hard. If you are in High School, you'll have to drum up a lot of support to be noticed. So play great, but also pass. I think to get signed, you'll have to meet with the National Basketball Players Assotiation to make it(NBPA.com).

Basically, you have to go to an American High School/College and get into the basketball team there. You then get scouted, by NBA team scouts, whilst playing your college games. When the NBA Draft comes up, a NBA team will contact you or maybe interview you (only if they are interested in you). Then teams pick the players they want to play for them. E.g. LeBron James was picked, therefore got drafted, by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. Cleveland used the 1st round 1st pick on him. When the team drafts you play in a series of games. The head coach watches you play in those games deciding whether to drop you or put you on the roster.

If you get dropped you get put into there NBA D-League Team (For example, the Los Angeles Lakers D-League team, the Los Angeles D-Fenders).

And if the coach wants you on the team you get put onto the roster, therefore becoming an NBA Player.
