Has it been 4? I can only think of Chicago and NYC.

We can add Boston (New England) Answer The fourth city is probably Los Angeles. Though the city no longer hosts an NFL franchise, the Raiders won Super Bowl XVIII while in Los Angeles. The Dodgers have won the World Series. The Lakers have won many NBA championships. The Anaheim Ducks, formerly the Mighty Ducks, won the Stanley Cup in 2007. It may be argued that the Ducks do not technically play in Los Angeles. In fact, Anaheim isn't even located in Los Angeles county; it is in neighboring Orange county. However, Anaheim is considered a part of the Los Angeles Metropolitan area and TV market. If the Ducks' championship is excluded so too should the New York Giants' 3 Super Bowl wins, since the Giants do not even play in the same state as New York; they are based in New Jersey. New York City would still qualify as having won all 4 championships, as the Jets won a Super Bowl when they played at Shea stadium. If the Ducks are not considered to represent Los Angeles, then there are only 3 cities whose teams have won all four major championships. There are many potential contenders which lack only one championship. They are: Detroit (no Super Bowl appearance despite winning 4 pre-merger NFL championships) Philadelphia (no Super Bowl win despite winning 3 pre-merger NFL championships) Miami/Florida (no Stanley Cup) Los Angeles (Stanley Cup only won by Anaheim Ducks) Pittsburgh (no NBA championship nor NBA team to win one) Oakland (no Stanley Cup nor NHL team to win one) Of these cities, Philadelphia has the best chance of winning their fourth championship. The Eagles have played and lost in two Super Bowls and even more NFC championships. Lastly, it is worth noting the number of franchises that are located in each of the cities that have accomplished this feat. The more franchises there are, the better the odds are of winning a championship. New York is currently home to 9 franchises. Los Angeles has 7. Chicago has 6. Boston is remarkable for having won all four championships with but one representative in each sport.

What NFL team has never won or hosted a championship?

Virtually every team in the NFL has won a championship of some sort, whether the Super Bowl, the NFL title pre-Super Bowl and/or pre-merger, the AFL championship, the AAFC championship (in the case of the Browns), or the AFC or NFC championship. The only three current NFL teams to have not won a league or conference championship are Houston, Jacksonville, and New Orleans. Of those teams, the Jaguars have been to the AFC Championship game twice and hosted it in the 99-00 season, but they lost to Tennessee. The Saints have been to the NFC Championship once, but lost on the road to the Bears. If you also include division titles, then everyone but the Texans qualifies. Here's how the league breaks down: Green Bay: Won NFL Championship, NFC Championship, and Super BowlChicago: Won NFL Championship, NFC Championship, and Super BowlDetroit: Won NFL ChampionshipMinnesota: Won NFL Championship Dallas: Won NFC Championship and Super BowlPhiladelphia: Won NFL Championship and NFC ChampionshipWashington: Won NFL Championship, NFC Championship, and Super BowlNY Giants: Won NFL Championship, NFC Championship, and Super BowlSan Francisco: Won NFC Championship and Super BowlSt. Louis: Won NFL Championship, NFC Championship, and Super BowlSeattle: Won NFC ChampionshipArizona: Won NFL Championship and NFC Championship New Orleans: No championshipsAtlanta: Won NFC ChampionshipTampa Bay: Won NFC Championship and Super BowlCarolina: Won NFC ChampionshipNew England: Won AFC Championship and Super BowlNY Jets: Won AFL Championship and Super BowlMiami: Won AFC Championship and Super BowlBuffalo: Won AFL Championship and AFC ChampionshipPittsburgh: Won AFC Championship and Super BowlBaltimore: Won AFC Championship and Super BowlCincinnati: Won AFC ChampionshipCleveland: Won AAFC Championship and NFL ChampionshipOakland: Won AFL Championship, AFC Championship, and Super BowlSan Diego: Won AFL Championship and AFC ChampionshipDenver: Won AFC Championship and Super BowlKansas City: Won AFL Championship and Super Bowl Houston: No championshipsJacksonville: No championshipsIndianapolis: Won NFL Championship, AFC Championship, and Super BowlTennessee: Won AFL Championship and AFC Championship

Do you have to win the Super Bowl to get a ring?

Yes they do. The loosing team from the Super Bowl receives a Super Bowl ring as well, but it is half the cost of the winning Super Bowl team's Super Bowl ring. Many players choose not to wear those rings, because it symbolizes defeat.
