I am not positive, but I think there was a very long game played between the Rangers and Orioles back in the 1990's that came close to setting a record. However, if you Google "longest games", it doesn't come up. I was living in Dallas at the time but now in Baltimore. Anyone remember this? According to an article I found on pressboxonline.com issued June 22, 2006 the Orioles longest game, timewise, was a 14 inning game against the Yankees in 1988 that lasted 5 hours and 46 minutes. Haven't found the longest game, inningswise, that they've played.
A NFL game can go on for hours but the longest time the game will last is 75 minites only in the Regular season. In the playoffs it can go on forever, they will just keep doing overtimes till a team can win. or a playbook play: they have normally 40 seconds to snap the ball.
