Depends were you live.

These costs are for minor hockey NON REP.

On the west coast of Canada in Vancouver is averages around $500 per year.

In the greater Toronto league it is $360.

For Rep hockey, fees are generally around $2000 - $3000 per year before equipment or travel costs.

For Midget AAA the cost for a season can be $5000 to $10,000 dollars.

Equipment costs for Bantam players and under (ages 14 and under) are generally pretty reasonable as you can get equipment from hockey swap meets. For Midget players are up, (ages 15 and up) the cost can easily be $1000 per year or more.

Skates along for Rep or Midget AA or AAA players are easily $700 to $1,200 per year and the kids can go thru two pairs a year.
