Soccer, or Football as the civilised world knows it, is a team sport comprising two opposing sides who compete to force a leather ball into each other's goal area, a box at each end of the pitch. Each team consists of eleven players - typically one goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers, known as 4-4-2 (though this can be modified to augment defensive or offensive capabilities, for example four defenders, three midfielders, three strikers; 4-3-3). If this (rather oddly-worded) question means how many people worldwide play soccer, then sadly I have no idea. Lots?
