The 1892 Derby winner was Azra with Alonzo Clayton aboard.
Issac Murphy won back to back derby races in 1890 and 1891.
Jimmy Winkfield is best known as the last African American to have a Kentucky Derby winner in 1901 and 1902. Between 1875 and 1902 the number of wins, places and shows was dominated by African American Jockeys. And then the color barrier came down.
