3) Frank Pierce, Seneca, qualified for the marathon at the 1904 Games in St. Louis. He did not finish the race.
4) Jim Thorpe, Sac and Fox, won gold in the decathlon and pentathlon at the 1912 Games in Stockholm.
5) Andrew Sockalexis, Penobscot, finished 4th in the marathon at the 1912 Games.
6) Billy Mills, Lakota, won gold in the 10,000 meter run at the 1964 Games in Tokyo.
7) Ellison "Tarzan" Brown, Narragansett, competed in marathon until being disqualified when he had to leave the race early, due to injury in 1936 at the Berlin Games.
