The inaugural season of San Francisco's current ballpark was in 2000. At the time, the Giants' new home was called Pacific Bell Park because the communications company Pacific Bell was a primary sponsor.

Three years later, the stadium was renamed SBC Park when SBC Communications acquired Pacific Bell. The name changed again before the 2006 season because of a merger between SBC and AT&T Corp. that resulted in the corporate name AT&T Inc.

The ballpark has hosted three World Series -- in 2010, 2012 and 2014 -- and served as the site of the 78th Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 10, 2007.

The New York Giants moved to San Francisco after the 1957 season. The 2015 season will be the Giants' 58th in the Bay Area.
