According to the NFL's website the New Orleans Saints have never been to the Superbowl! But if you look at the Saints website they say this will be their sixth trip. See related links below for for info.
As of the end of the 2009 season, the New Orleans Saints are 1-0 in Super Bowls. They won Super Bowl XLIV by defeating the Indianapolis Colts by the score of 31-17.
The game was played on February 7, 2010 at Sun Life Stadium, in Miami, Florida.
Yes; they beat the Philadelphia Eagles (after a first-round bye) to advance to the 2006 NFC Championship Game against the Bears.
The NFLs most fined player for 2010-11 season is Rodney Harrisson, with a total of 125,000 dollars in fines through the first eleven games.
Go to www.nfl.com, and from the home page, pull down the list of teams by clicking on "Teams," fourth selection from the left of the menu bar. All 32 teams will appear. Click on any team and its home page will appear, giving the year it was founded, from the oldest team (Arizona Cardinals - 1920) to the youngest team (Houston Texans - 2002). Personally, I think the NFLs web page should contain at least a rudimentary history of the league, but shamefully it doesn't.
The New York Giants did indeed beat the Patriots both times they faced them in the Super Bowl. The NFLs interception king played quite well in both games and was named MVP of both Super Bowls.
