Yes, they get paid. Professional athletes are among the highest paid people in the world. Some of the higher salaries in the NBA range from 20 million to 16 million a year while the lower contracts range from 2 million to 5 million a year.

No because NCAA rules say colleges are not aloud to pay players. But I have herd and seen it happen under the table, for example Tim Tebow (Florida Gators QB) turns up to his coaches office and says I don't want to play no more his coach is going to try keep him playing by giving him a nice car, a very nice house outside campus, a fake job (Its a job outside the college campus but its run secretly by the college and it pays HUGE MONEY) and they will buy him fancy watches and luxuries like that. That's how they get paid but all of its illegal and college could get in a lot of trouble if caught

Well it depends, if it's a popular NBA player like Kobe Bryant, then it would be $20M - $25M. If it's a less popular player, like JJ Barea, Then the least would be around $1M and the most would be $7M - $10M. JJ Barea makes $5M, BTW.

Yes, NBA players get paid a yearly salary and do not get paid by game. Players may be suspended and still get the same yearly salary!
