That depends on the path you take. If you take a twisty and more challenging path run faster. A straight and clear path though makes it easier so run slower.
On a straight path, take the distance in miles, 1, and divide it by the number of hours you wish to run the mile. Since 12 minutes is 1/5 of an hour, you would divide 1 by 1/5 and get an answer of 5mph.
It matters how much you want to run.
If your goal is a 11 min. mile and a half, your mile time should be about 7:33.
