No Big Brown is a bay and Secretariat was a red chestnut.
Man O' War and Secretariat were called Big Red- its easy to remember they both won the Kentucky Derby
Big Brown was bred in Monticule Farms at Lexington, Kentucky
Small and Big are quite relative. Small horses can produce a foal that grows to be larger than either of the parents and crossing a larger horse with a small horse will tend to result offspring larger than the smaller parent animal but usually not larger than the largest parent.
Secretariat was a beautiful chestnut thoroughbred.

Big Brown
Big Brown, the racehorse, stood at around 16.1 hands tall.
He weighs around 1,200lbs...
"Secretariat" was the eleventh option given to the Jockey Club and the first one that wasn't taken. The secretary for his breeder had worked for a secretariat before.
For me the greatest thoroughbred horse ever is the "Big Red" Secretariat simply because of his greatest performances and track records. Secretariat has a world track record that still stands today and no ever horse can break that track record. He is also a Triple Crown Champion and winning the last leg "The Belmont Stakes Race by a staggering 31 Lengths. Secretariat was by far the best racehorse but i've also heard that he was a pretty crappy sire so that must be considered also.
