Secretariat seemed to have been blessed by the racing Gods. He had an extra large heart, that engine of power, speed and stamina. He also had what is referred to in racing circles as the "Nearco Rump", an angular muscle on the hindquarters that gives extra speed and fluidity in stride, he was an extremely powerful horse with a 25 foot stride. He was considered one of the most beautiful thoroughbreds ever, and was very intelligent, seeming to pose for pictures!
