to run the 200 you come out of the blocks in a drive phase which mean that you are pushing out of the blocks at about 85 perccent and you are pushing off the track. after about 20 to 30 meters you bring youre body up and begin to run with knee lift. it may seem like youre running slow but when you start passing people youll know youre not because you are now sprinting full speed and everyone else is beginning to slow down
Another way you could run is fire out of the block 95% until your lane straightens out then get into your stride and hold it until the finish
How you run the 200m dash all depends on your running style. When I run the 200m dash I know one of my greatest assets is how fast I can get out of the blocks, so for my first 30 meters or so I treat it as a 100 exploding with everything I have, remembering to throw my right arm hard and leaning all the way through the turn. For the next 50 meters or so I run at a fast strong pace but not all out, and the final 120 I give it all i have, if you tire out before the end of the race save your sprint for later.
