I have heard that the Darlington speedway is called the "Lady in Black" because of the tendency of the drivers to rub their tires against "her" white retaining walls. I believe the effect happens because of variations of bank angle on the corners, and the tendency of the wall to create a negative air effect which surprises drivers by drawing them into the wall.
Don't know but it's closed down and all boarded up.
International Speedway Corporation owns Talladega Superspeedway. ISC was founded by Nascar founder Bill France Sr. in 1953. ISC also owns 11 other tracks that are on the Nascar circuit.
