I am a sixty year old male. I started regular walking 15 months ago. I generally walk on a local trail that goes around a Golf course. It is two miles around the course. It takes me 29 minutes to cover the two miles. So I average 14.5 minutes per mile. I do push myself to walk fast the whole trip.
One mile of biking equals one mile of walking
it depends on the weight of the each person. I will requre more energyto move the heavier person.
I would think that is a reasonable start. Fast walking should produce a mile in 15 minutes. The nine minutes should be able to be improved on though.
A 13.42-minute mile equates to a walking speed of 4.47 mph
1 mile 1760 Yards
a good time is 6 45
A good mile time can range anywhere from under 6:00 till about 11:00 minutes. It depends on your shape. Actual time is not really all that important unless you are trying to run a marathon. Just start by walking and work up to mixed walking/running and eventually all running. Start slow and work on speed and endurance.
Distance = speed x time 1 mile = 2.5 x time time = 1/2.5 = 0.4 hours 0.4 hours x 60 = 24 minutes
The number of walking laps to make a mile depends on the length of the walking path. For example, if you are walking on a standard track, which is typically 400 meters per lap, it would take 4 laps to complete a mile (approximately 1,609 meters). If you're walking on a shorter path, like one that is 1/8 mile long, it would take 8 laps to reach a mile.
I do a mile in 3 1/2 minutes.
Three.
The time it takes to walk one mile varies depending on an individual's walking speed. On average, a person walks at a pace of about 3 to 4 miles per hour, which means it would take roughly 15 to 20 minutes to walk one mile. Factors such as terrain, fitness level, and walking conditions can also influence this time.
