Women have been allowed to compete at the Commonwealth Games since 1930.

At the '30 Games, Women were restricted to Aquatic events (Diving: 3m springboard and 10m platform; Swimming: 100yd freestyle, 400yd freestyle, 100yd backstroke, 200yd backstroke and 4x100yd freestyle relay).
