Therefore, the next team will have won the third most AFL Premierships; and that is Collingwood. The Collingwood Magpies have won 15, but they have lost many more grand finals than they have won!

Fitzroy in 1964, but all of these seasons only consisted of 18 rounds. a few teams have gone close though. Fremantle have gone through only winning one, which was against the hawks In 1913, University football Team, an early member of the then VFL, played and lost every match! 18 games I think! University still fields a Team but they are no-longer a part of elite football and left the then VFL in 1919! They are possibly the second or third oldest football club in Australia! (they were formed in the same year as Castlemaine. There is an argument that the "Melbourne F Club" IS the Oldest football club in the world!and st kilda 1897-1899
