Because, WWE acquired WCW and Sting did not want to work for WWE. He wanted to continue his professional wrestling career and when TNA offered him a good contract, he joined them.
TNA are making a retirement storyline apparently for Sting this year he hasn't really been on television as much but I think its this year when sting finally leaves i will miss him.
Sting's first entrance song was called "Turbo Charged". I don't know who it was by. The next song after that was "Man Called Sting", by WCW's "house band". Sting never left the WWE, because he was never there to begin with. He's prominently known for his time in the NWA in the '80s, WCW in the '90s, and TNA in the 2000's, but he was never employed by the WWE.
