Muhammad Ali/Cassius Clay was never knocked out in the ring. He was however knocked down on several occasions, most famously by Joe Frazier in the final round of their 1970 'Fight of the Century. Ali was also knocked down by Henry Cooper, Chuck Wepner (although Ali claimed it was an accidental trip) and Sonny Banks. Incidentally, Frazier, Banks and Cooper all knocked Ali down with the same punch, a left hook. /jw: Larry Holmes "stopped" Ali in his one before last match, spoiling his record in that, regard.
